Data & BI: dashboards that answer questions

SQL databases, data cleanup and Power BI or web dashboards, so decisions rest on numbers, not hunches.

Who it is for

  • Businesses that live in spreadsheets and have outgrown them.
  • Teams that build the same report by hand every week.
  • Companies with data in several systems that do not talk to each other.

What is included

  • Assessment of your data sources: spreadsheets, ERP, point of sale, SQL databases or APIs.
  • Modeling and cleanup with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and Python (Pandas).
  • Dashboards in Power BI (DAX, Power Query) or on the web.
  • Automated recurring reports and data collection.
  • Training so your team can use and maintain them.

How I work

How I work

  1. 01

    The questions

Which decisions you want to make with data. The dashboard is designed from there, not from the charts.

  2. 02

    The sources

Where each piece of data lives, how reliable it is and how it gets updated.

  3. 03

    The model

Cleanup, relationships and well-defined measures, so everyone reads the same number.

  4. 04

    The dashboard

Clear visuals, automatic refresh and training.

Experience

  • Vetco Gray (GE): real-time KPI dashboards with .NET, Excel/VBA and SQL database connections, and contributions to the architecture and development of the corporate ERP.
  • Freelance: Power BI and SQL dashboards, and market analysis with the Mercado Libre API and web scraping to price computer equipment for sale.

What a good dashboard needs

A few well-defined, always up-to-date numbers. If every team computes “sales” differently, the problem is not the chart: it is the model. That is why I start with the questions and the sources, and finish with something your team understands and can maintain.

FAQ

Do I need paid Power BI?

It depends on how dashboards are shared. I explain the licensing options and, when it makes sense, a web dashboard with no per-user licenses.

Can you connect my current system?

In most cases, yes: databases, files, APIs or scheduled exports. We check during the assessment.

Shall we talk?

Tell me what you need and I will tell you how I would solve it, no strings attached.
